Uganda Coffee Farm

This coffee comes from the Rwenzori mountains of Uganda, where 100% Arabica coffee is grown between 1,500 and 2,000 meters above sea level. The farmers who grew this particular coffee are part of a farmer-owned and governed cooperative called Busongora North Coffee Farmers' Cooperative, with over 500 families participating as small share contributors.

Our farmers are registered and assigned a unique identification number that enables full traceability back to their farmlands. They are all trained to carry out good agricultural practices, which helps achieve a consistently high-quality bean. All of the coffee is received, sorted, and processed at two primary wash stations within Kajole, Kithoma, and Kaswa Parishes, located within close proximity to the farms. Once optimally dried at the wash stations, it is dry milled in Kasese, cupped, and prepared for export.

This coffee also supports a broader mission: educating growers in sustainable, organic agricultural practices that produce high-quality specialty coffees. All coffee is traceable back to the land it was produced on, and the long-term vision is to support a path to break cycles of generational poverty — equipping farmers with the knowledge to be self-sustaining and forward-thinking.

Our Uganda coffee is grown in the Rwenzori mountains at 1,500–2,000 meters, processed using the washed method, and features the SL28 and SL14 varieties — delivering a cup with mild acidity, light body, and notes of floral, chocolate, and dark fruits.
