Collection: The Vermont Maple Collection
From the Foothills of Mount Mansfield
Nestled within Vermont's Green Mountains, near the base of the state's tallest peak, Mount Mansfield Maple Products tends over one thousand acres of the most carefully stewarded maple trees in the world. This is not commodity maple syrup — this is a living landscape, harvested with intention and reverence.
A Sugar Bush Like No Other
The sugar bush spans elevations from 650 to over 1,450 feet, where maple sap travels through miles of pipeline — from slender 5/16" lines running tree to tree, to larger mainlines carrying the flow of entire hillside sections — all the way to the sugarhouse below. Some terrain rolls gently; other sections rise in steep, rocky cliffs. Every drop of sap makes a journey before it becomes the maple you taste.
Stewards of the Land
The farm is a complete ecosystem — beaver ponds, mountain streams, open pastures, old-growth forest, and cliffs with views stretching to 1,500 feet. Wildlife is abundant: deer, bear, otter, bobcat, wild turkey, heron, and songbirds of every variety call this land home. The team works hard to keep it that way.
From sap to bottle, Mount Mansfield minimizes environmental impact at every step — clean-burning natural gas, heat recapture for the shop, recycled and post-consumer packaging, and a deep commitment to leaving the land better than they found it.
A Legacy Written in Leaf Matter
On a neighboring leased property, the ruins of an old open-air sugaring operation still stand — stone arch, pans, and buckets slowly returning to the earth beneath a century of leaves. It's a quiet reminder of how long this tradition has lived in these hills, and how seriously Mount Mansfield takes carrying it forward.
