Sul de Minas is Brazil's most celebrated coffee country — rolling hills, mild climate, and the kind of gentle, consistent rainfall that lets a coffee tree take its time. The farms here are small to medium by Brazilian standards, 10 to 150 hectares, and most have been in the same family for generations. That continuity matters. It shows up in the cup as a kind of settled confidence — coffee that knows exactly what it is.

Naturally processed and sun-dried on volcanic loam soil at 950–1,100 meters, the Mundo Novo, Catuai, Icatu, and Bourbon varieties are allowed to dry whole, the fruit slowly concentrating its sweetness into the bean. The result is graded SSFC 17/18 — a mark of careful sorting and export preparation — and roasted to a medium that brings out notes of mandarin orange and chocolate with a smooth, medium-bodied finish that doesn’t ask anything of you.

The kind of coffee you reach for without thinking. And then think about after.
